The Village Club became established many years ago and its history and objectives can be read HERE.
Residents of Goodworth Clatford automatically become members of the Village Club. There are no fees but villagers are encouraged to join the Village Club 100 Club and/or make an annual donation towards the upkeep of the Club. A member of the Management Committee calls and introduce themselves to new residents and provides the relevant forms.

The Club is used by many organisations and contact details can be found on this Website: eg: Bridge Club, Clatford Amateur Dramatic Society(CADS), Embroiders Guild, Exercise Classes also Pilates and Yoga, Toddlers Group and the Women's Institute.

The Club Management Committee organise entertainment such as films, theatre groups, concerts etc. mainly between September and April and tickets can be obtained from the Village Store or the local co-ordinator. A list of current events can be viewed opposite.

There is a Snooker Table in the Club, 2 superb tennis courts, two 6m x 3m Gazebo's - all of which can be hired.   The Club with hall, stage and kitchen facilities can also be hired for private functions. Remember the Snooker Room is available at only £3 an hour.

The Club has two gazebos for hire at the very reasonable cost of £15 each. Both are in excellent condition and come with full instructions. Interested parties should contact the Club Steward, on 01264 364005 to confirm availability.


Tickets for the films can be purchased through the Goodworth Clatford Village Post Office and tickets for other events from the members of the Village Club Committee or the Post Office.

The Village Club may be booked by individuals, clubs and societies.
All enquiries should be made to the Club Steward.

VILLAGE CLUB NEWSLETTER 

You will have received your Village Club Newsletter and with it is a form to join the 100 Club which is an important source of funds for the Club. We hope you will support your Village Club and for only £12 a year you will take part in the monthly draws plus the bumper Christmas and Easter draws. Please give your completed form and cheque to Jane Eastwood at the Post Office or to your area collector. Please return your form promptly as the 2012/13 draw begins on 10th May 2012.


Please note that there will be no Moviola film shows from May to August. The next film show will be on Tuesday 25 th September 2012 so watch out for our next advertised presentation.


Saturday 28 th July 2012 is the date for our Summer Concert – bring your gazebo and picnic to your Village Club for an evening of music by popular local group Mango with Sarah Couch! Rock, pop and soul classics from the 70s onwards to get you up and dancing! Tickets available from the Post Office at £10 adults and £5 for under 14's.


On Saturday 6 th October 2012 we see the return of John Pilkington recounting his latest exploits in “ Georgia to Afghanistan ”. In an exciting sequel to his ‘ Axis of Evil ' trip, John follows the ancient trade route from the Caucasus across the Caspian Sea to Samarkand, then turns south-east to the High Pamirs of Tajikistan and Afghanistan before finishing in Kashgar, China's so-called ‘Crossroads of Asia'.
