The Village Club became established many years ago and its history and objectives can be read HERE.
Residents of Goodworth Clatford automatically become members of the Village Club. There are no fees but villagers are encouraged to join the Village Club 100 Club and/or make an annual donation towards the upkeep of the Club. A member of the Management Committee calls and introduce themselves to new residents and provides the relevant forms.

The Club is used by many organisations and contact details can be found on this Website: eg: Bridge Club, Clatford Amateur Dramatic Society(CADS), Embroiders Guild, Exercise Classes also Pilates and Yoga, Toddlers Group and the Women's Institute.

The Club Management Committee organise entertainment such as films, theatre groups, concerts etc. mainly between September and April and tickets can be obtained from the Village Store or the local co-ordinator. A list of current events can be viewed opposite.

There is a Snooker Table in the Club, 2 superb tennis courts, two 6m x 3m Gazebo's - all of which can be hired.   The Club with hall, stage and kitchen facilities can also be hired for private functions. Remember the Snooker Room is available at only £3 an hour.

The Club has two gazebos for hire at the very reasonable cost of £15 each. Both are in excellent condition and come with full instructions. Interested parties should contact the Club Steward, on 01264 364005 to confirm availability.


Tickets for the films can be purchased through the Goodworth Clatford Village Post Office and tickets for other events from the members of the Village Club Committee or the Post Office.

Tuesday 31st January - Jane Eyre

Saturday 4 th February 2012 – There is no pantomime at the Village Club in December, so make a date with The Elves and the Shoemaker puppet show for 3+ and their families by the Theatre of Widdershins. Beautifully crafted set and puppets, sublime music, a kaleidoscope of miniature shoes and a comic mouse make this a must-see for all children (and their grown-ups!). Tickets £7 adults £5 children which includes afternoon tea from Jane Eastwood at the Post Office 01264 353320.


Friday 24 February 2012 – “Opera Dudes” the Cod Fathers of Croon return. They've been practising their scales, studying their “tuna day” books, put their heart and sole into preparations and now they are ready to give you a whale of a time! Tickets £12 which includes supper from Jane Eastwood at the Post Office 01264 353320.


Tuesday 28 th February 2012 - is our next Moviola film “Johnny English Reborn”. Rowan Atkinson returns as super spy Johnny English as he goes up against international assassins hunting down the Chinese premier! Showing at 7.30pm in the Village Club. Tickets £5 from Jane Eastwood at the Post Office 01264 353320. Please book early as we need to sell 40 tickets by Monday 20 th February to avoid cancellation!
