Goodworth Clatford WI Knitting Group

Having spent the winter knitting and crocheting, three parcels of jumpers & hats have been sent to the children of Zimbabwe (with another in the pipeline); this is a Hampshire County WI charity. In addition, three of our members recently spent a fascinating morning at Eastwood Park Women's Prison, when we delivered crib blankets, jumpers and hats to the Mother and Baby Unit. The unit caters for twelve women and up to sixteen infants aged from birth to 18 months.

We would like to thank all those who have either donated wool or knitted for us. Following a break for summer, we will be picking up our needles and hooks again in the autumn. Further donations of wool will be gratefully received - DK and machine washable baby yarns only please.
